Who is responsible for your data

Cleaning Point, Lisbon, Portugal, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, contact hello@cleaningpoint.net.

What data we collect

We only collect what we need to answer you and deliver our services:

• Estimate and contact forms: your name, email, phone number, the areas and details of your home, and anything you write in your message.
• Account data: your name and email address; if you sign in with Google, also your Google account ID and profile picture. We never see your Google password.
• Service data: your address, access notes, service history, quotes and invoices.
• Technical data: with your consent, anonymised usage statistics via Google Analytics and advertising measurement via the Meta (Facebook) pixel (see the cookie policy). Separately, if you reach us through a link we published elsewhere, which campaign it was and a random identifier, so we can tell which publications are worth buying.

Why we use it

We use your data to:

• Prepare estimates and deliver the services you request (performance of a contract).
• Reply to your messages and provide customer support (performance of a contract, legitimate interest).
• Keep invoices and tax records (legal obligation).
• Understand how the website is used and improve it — through Google Analytics only if you consent to analytics cookies (consent), and by counting what the links we publish elsewhere bring in (legitimate interest).

Cookies and analytics

The website uses essential cookies to function, Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) pixel only with your consent, and — if you arrive through a link we published elsewhere — two cookies that record which campaign brought you, so we can tell which publications are worth buying. Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We share it only with providers that process it on our behalf under contract:

• Hosting and infrastructure providers that run this website and our systems.
• Google, when you use Google sign-in (authentication) or when you consent to Google Analytics (usage statistics).
• Meta (Facebook), when you consent to advertising cookies, to measure our ads and show them to people who have visited the site.
• Accounting and payment providers, to the extent needed for invoicing and payment.

International transfers

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area (for example Google or Meta), the transfer is protected by an EU adequacy decision or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep data

Estimate and contact messages are kept for up to 2 years after our last contact. Account and service data are kept while your account is active and deleted or anonymised when you close it. Invoices are kept for the period required by Portuguese tax law (currently 10 years).

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can at any time:

• Access the data we hold about you and receive a copy.
• Correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data.
• Ask us to delete your data, or restrict or object to its processing.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent (for example for analytics cookies) at any time, without affecting past processing.

How we protect your data

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), stored on access-controlled systems, and available only to the people who need it to serve you. Keys and access notes are stored coded and never labelled with an address.

Complaints

If you believe we handle your data incorrectly, contact us first at hello@cleaningpoint.net — we take this seriously and answer quickly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, cnpd.pt).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services evolve. The current version is always published on this page with its date.
